A few people have asked me how I use shards since I've been making them. So I thought I'll put it up on my website for easy reference. What I did is:      1. select a piece of shards and have it ready      2. make and heat up base bead to glowing      3. working quickly out of the flame, pick up the shards with tweezer and attach a corner to the hot bead        (NOTE: do NOT put shard in the flame before semi attached to bead)      4. the heat from the bead will soften the shards, use the tweezer to pat the shard on to the base bead.      5. gently heat the whole bead and pat down any part of the shard that is not adhered to the base bead.      Tip: once the shard is on there may be some trapped air bubbles. You can spot heat the bubble to pop it and for more organic pattern.    Below are some examples of beads I made with my shards:
